In my free time, I enjoy watching vlogs on places I would never travel to, drawing doodles instead of completing my physics classwork, and visiting random locations around the city with my friends. Heyyy everyone! I'm Sophia Weng and I'll be your Biology Director for the '26-'27 season!!🧬I have been a part of SciOly since my sophomore year, and I have been able to make so many new friends being on this team. A fun fact about me is that I LOVE MANGOES🥭(they are honestly the best fruits ever), and I love MANGO MANGO:))) Outside of SciOly, I'm a part of our school's biology research program, and in my free time I enjoy hanging out being my friends (almost always getting froyo..🍧), finding new food and dessert spots, and dancing. So excited to work with you guys in the upcoming season!!

I'm your Chemistry Subject Director for 2026-2027. Yay! Chemiiiii is amazing. I've been on the team since sophomore year, and it's honestly been incredible. The team culture is so nice; the niche stuff we study (ah yes, using protein modelling software), is a change from standard academics 😂. Anyways, about me. Heh. I like going to new places, collecting/investing, playing video games, chatting with friends, and doing digital art. Also, feel free to chat with me about anime stuff at any time. I'm a huge fan of everything anime-related, so we'll have something to talk about 👍. That's it. My goal is to teach you guys chemistry well. Because yes, at the end of the day I'm your head chemist 😁.

Adeline Nurenie

Hi everyone!! I'm Adeline and I'll be your physics + design SD for the '26-'27 szn‼️(lol- SIX SEVENN (crickets)). Besides helping y'all learn about Carnot engines and successful CAD road maps, I'll be the face behind equipment inventory lists, where YOU (yes, you!) can check out calorimeters and circuits for extra practice, and office hours for members in Thermo, Circuit Lab, and Engineering CAD. In case you haven't met me yet, I'm a HUGEEE engineering nerd 🦾 and I love talking to people about current events (geopolitics + climate policy, for one) and fave book recs (ex.: R.F. Kuang's Babel🫡)! I joined SciOly in sophomore year and since then, I've participated in super fun events like optics and wind power 🤩. I love listening to Tame Impala and embarking on impromptu side-quests. I'm also totally down for a run or a game of tag! Though, I believe that if you want to gauge who I truly am, you'll have to meet me in person 🙃- so if you see me in the halls, do say hi!! I'm looking forward to teaching and yapping everyone's ears off :3.

I'm Paul, your SciOly co-captain for this year. Ive been in SciOly since freshman year, doing mostly physics events. SciOly has given me a chance to explore the universe in an unbounded way, and as co-captain my main goal is to give this experience of exploration and curiousity to as many people as I can. Outside of SciOly, I play a bunch of different racket sports, I play the violin, and I enjoy coding. I can't wait to see what this year has in store for our team!

I love Scioly because it's allowed to to explore my interests in niche subjects I wouldn't have know about before, especially in Biology and Earth Science (Dynamic Planet my beloved).
